The skin is divided into 2 layers. Epidermis forms the outer layer and Dermis forms the inner layer. Dermis contains collagen, which provides firmness to our skin.
Picking of acne leads to destruction of collagen, which in turn leads to scar formation on the face. These are called as Acne Scars.
There are multiple ways to treat Acne scars. These include Dermaroller, Dermabrasion and Laser procedure.
From the above specified approaches, Laser procedure is considered the best option as individual scars are treated as per the severity and need.
The procedure involves anaesthetizing the treatment area (a waiting time of 45 mins to 1 hr should be considered if cream is applied) with creams and/or injections. Once the desired anaesthesia is achieved, the Laser beam is fired on the treatment area as per the requirement. Immediately after the procedure, slight redness, dryness, itching and swelling may be perceived for a couple of days. Post procedure precautions and prescription have to be followed. The daily routine activities can be resumed (it may not be possible in some cases). Over a period of few sessions, one may see visible improvement in the scars.
We, at RadhaKrishna , always strive to give the best possible results with the most advanced technology and the most suited treatment as per the individual needs.
